1. Why "Positive Music" and not "Christian Music?"
In today's music scene, "Christian music" is often not considered on an equal playing field as secular music. Being labeled as a "Christian band" often limits the bands outreach to only the Christian sub-culture. In addition, there are artists that don't consider themselves "Christian" bands, but are themselves Christian and write songs with positive lyrics and dealing with Christian issues. Our slogan therefore was meant not to limit our coverage to so called "Christian bands/artists," but at the same time, our name should tell you where our focus is.
2. What makes your site different than those of the large music retailers?
We hope to offer a personal touch and service that goes beyond what other e-tailers and some retailers are providing. For example, if there is a CD you are looking for and we don't stock it, just e-mail us and we'll try to get it for you or let you know where you can get it. Also, we hope to include cool "freebie" items such as bookmarks, stickers, and even CDs with your orders.
3. Why don't you accept credit cards directly on your site?
We have recently added the ability to accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. We will continue to allow payments via PayPal, check, and money orders as well.
4. Why don't you carry all styles of music?
Our focus is primarily on positive rock, alternative, and acoustic singer/song-writers because that's where our interest and knowledge is. Yes, we may carry some pop and contemporary artists, but you'll notice that we don't carry a lot of gospel, traditional, or adult contemporary. By limiting our focus, we hope to provide fans with the best selection of features, reviews, and specials that are relevant to their listening interests. In addition, if there is a CD or item that we don't carry, just e-mail us and we'll get it for you. Typically, we can have a special order item in stock within 2 days.

6. How did you come up with the name Jesus Underground?
The idea for this web-site started with the dream of opening a music store / coffee shop which would feature positive music and have the capability of live shows. I was trying to come up with a name for the store and thought The Jesus Underground sounded cool. You know, it would be in one of those lower level stores that you have to go downstairs to get to. Can you picture it? Since we were unsure if we'd be moving next year, opening the store was not a possibility, so I decided to build a web-site which would be the future internet home of the store. What you see is the result.
