| age:25 hometown:Woodbine, IA / Omaha, NE discography: Autumn...She Cries (1999), There Is A House (2001), Circus Lights EP (2001) how would you describe your music?:a mix of acoustic folk and modern christian light rock...there is no edge and I assume that lyrics are meant to be heard...A mix of simplistic guitar work and delicate vocals making for easy listening. favorite musical artists: Jars of Clay, Caedmon's Call, LaRue favorite song:1. "Hymn", from Jars of Clay Much Afraid. Each time I listen to it I can feel the Holy Spirit moving through the lyrics and it takes me to the heart of worship and the love and passion for Christ. 2. "Sad Clown"...from Jars of Clay If I Left The Zoo. It is one of those songs that you swear was written about you...it is the song I wish I would have written to best describe myself. goals:To Live a life worth remembering, to touch someone whom I've never met with a song, to relate across boundaries of space and even time. I want to live music and I want His music to live through me and the gifts I've been given. story behind "Circus Lights": Well I am unmolded, I have no definition in my work for the Lord. I know that I have a purpose, and I wait for him to show me that purpose. The Circus represents everyday "earthly" living that we all drudge through. I feel so alone sometimes in my mission, God is centering me for something great for his purpose...I have to be patient and wait for my readiness...so he can use me. Lessons learned:Dream, believe in yourself, and whatever you do, life is too short not to love, so love everything, and everyone... good or bad, you will smile more!!! |
