Multi-platinum and multiple-GRAMMY winning rock band Jars of Clay readies for the release of their fifth album on Essential/Silvertone Records. The two-disc set titled Furthermore - From The Studio: From The Stage features an acoustic disc with 11 songs - eight new arrangements of Jars of Clay favorites, plus three new songs recorded in the band’s own Sputnik Studio. The second disc, recorded on “The Eleventh Hour Tour,” offers 10 cuts recorded in a live setting. Jars of Clay members, Dan Haseltine, Charlie Lowell, Stephen Mason and Matt Odmark, offer fans a unique look into their inspired recording process. “It has taken us a long time to get to the place where we felt comfortable recording a live album. It was something we avoided when our fans would ask us when we would make one. Finally, after recording ‘The Eleventh Hour’ we felt like we had the right collection of songs that would translate into a powerful live listening experience. This combination is the best of what we do live, whether it is in the acoustic performances from Sputnik, or the arena performances of this last tour, we have tried to give our most passionate live performances to date. We hope it was worth the wait.”
