In keeping with the original concept, City On A Hill - Sing Alleluia showcases another collaboration of artists including return contributors Jars of Clay, Third Day, Caedmon's Call, FFH, and The Choir as well as newcomers Jennifer Knapp, Nichole Nordeman, Bebo Norman, Fernando Ortega, and Phil Keaggy among others. Similar to City On A Hill - Songs of Worship and Praise, the latest release comprises a variety of original worship tunes from a community of artists. Pairings on this record include Fernando Ortega with Mac Powell on the power-ballad "Our Great God" and Caedmon's Call with Phil Keaggy on "Communion." Mac Powell also joins Jennifer Knapp on the standout track, title cut, and first radio single "Sing Alleluia." In addition to new songs, City On A Hill - Sing Alleluia features a few familiar melodies like the traditional church hymn "All Creatures of Our God And King," which ended the first album and opens as well as closes the new song list.
